According to press reports a man was shot and killed in the Avenida Antonio Machado in Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena.

It is understood that emergency services were called to the scene at around 3,20am this morning where they found a man with gunshots to his body . However all they could do was confirm the mans death

It is reported that the man has been identified as a 41 year old Irish man, named with the initials J.O

According to the reports the shooting followed a brawl in a local bar between the victim and another man

It is alleged that after the staff threw one of the men out he left but returned with a weapon and fired several times and it is understood that the victim was hit by one of these shots

Police are investigating the crime
